On December 8, 2021, a ceremony was held to welcome Ms. Chen Rong as a senior fellow of Taihe Institute.
Ms. Chen Rong, a doctoral graduate in medicine from Peking Union Medical College (PUMC) and a visiting scholar at the Eberhard Karl University of Tübingen (2009-2010), has worked in the area of gynecological endocrinology for many years and has profound clinical and research experience.
She is currently the Deputy Director of Gynecological Endocrinology and Reproduction Center at Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH), the Deputy Head of the Menopause Group of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and the Director of Climacteric Education and Training Center of the China Medicine Education Association.
Ms. Chen Rong has led many scientific research projects in related fields, published over 100 academic articles, and participated in the compilation of a number of academic and popular science works.
Ms. Chen Rong is an active public welfare promoter, and is recognized for teaching and advancing popular science. She was twice awarded the honorary title of “Advanced Individual in Poverty Alleviation” by the Central Committee of China National Democratic Construction Association (CNDCA), and was honored several times as the “Advanced Teacher at PUCM and PUCMH.”
She also participated in the “Healthy China and PUMCH’s Action” several times, contributing significantly to promotion of health knowledge and education.
With Ms. Chen Rong joining as a Senior Fellow, Taihe Institute expects to further expand its research capabilities in the area of healthcare and life sciences, among others.
