On July 7, EU Ambassador to China, His Excellency Nicolas Chapuis visited the Taihe Institute (TI) and conducted in-depth discussions with the TI fellows on issues such as China-EU relations, the international dynamics in the post-epidemic era and the challenges facing China. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Wu Hailong, chief fellow in international relations of the TI, during which Mr. Ding Yifan, senior fellow of the TI, delivered a speech on how “Made in China” products would continue to contribute to the international supply chain in the future and how China would succeed in alleviating poverty by 2020. Some council members of the TI also attended the seminar.
Both China and the EU are important participants in the international order. Strengthening China-EU cooperation and promoting stable and positive China-EU relations is a common concern of both parties, and frank, friendly and in-depth dialogue and cooperation between the two sides at all levels is welcome. In the future, the TI will create more platforms for such discussions and will contribute to the promotion of international communication and cooperation.
