Ambassador Ma Keqing Joins Taihe Institute as Senior Fellow

 
Recently, a ceremony was held to celebrate Ambassador Ma Keqing’s appointment as a senior fellow of the Taihe Institute.
 
 
Ambassador Ma has been engaged in diplomatic work for more than 40 years. She has served as Head of the Nordic Division of the Department of European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC (MFA, PRC), and Political Counselor of the Department of Western European Affairs at the MFA, PRC. She then worked as Deputy Director-General of the Department of Western European Affairs as well as Department of European Affairs at the MFA, PRC. She has also served as Ambassador of China to Finland, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the MFA, PRC, and Ambassador of China to the Philippines and to Czech Republic. While serving as Ambassador of China to the Philippines, she has contributed a lot to the preservation of national sovereignty during the China-Philippine standoff on Huangyan Island.
 
Her participation will further strengthen the research capacity of the Taihe Institute in the field of international relations, especially in respect of China’s relations with the EU.
