On November 8th, 2019, a ceremony was held for Mr. Qian Feng to join Taihe Institute as a Senior Researcher.
Mr. Qian Feng, former bureau chief and chief reporter of the People's Daily in India, is now director and researcher of the Research Department of the National Strategy Institute, Tsinghua University, executive director of the Chinese Association for South Asian Studies, special researcher at Jinggangshan University, special researcher at the China Center for South Asia Studies, Sichuan University, special commentator for the People's Daily, Global Times, and Huanqiu.com, and columnist for American Metro (UN ISSUE). Mr. Qian Feng was awarded “Top 10 Foreign Correspondents” of People's Daily and the “Spot News Reporting Award” and “Special Contribution Award” for reporters based overseas.
Mr. Qian Feng has a long-term study track in the areas of South Asia, relationships between major countries, and front-burner issues of Chinese neighboring countries, and has rich experience of working abroad. His joining will further enrich the research strength of Taihe Institute in the field of international relations and augment Taihe’s team of young and middle-aged experts.
