The 2nd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (hereinafter referred to as the "Summit Forum") will be held in Beijing from April 25th to 27th. The Summit Forum is China's most important home diplomacy this year, and it is also a landmark international event. Many researchers from Taihe Institute (hereinafter referred to as "Taihe") have been invited to participate in the conference. They will also share the wisdom around the theme of“promoting connectivity, tapping new drivers of growth”, "strengthening policy docking, forging closer partnership" and "promoting green and sustainable development, implementing the UN agenda for 2030" , making every effort to help achieve the high quality development of Belt and Road Initiative.
As the prelude to the Summit Forum, the Belt and Road Studies Network First Annual Meeting and the Belt and Road Initiative International Green Development Coalition First Annual Meeting was held respectively on the morning of April 24th and 25th. As a member of these two organizations, Taihe has sent representatives to attend the two founding meetings and related seminars.
According to President Xi Jinping, while the Belt and Road Initiative originated from China, the opportunities and achievements belong to the world.Taihe has always regarded the construction and development of Belt and Road as an important research direction and field. It has also carried out continuous follow-up studies on the strategic docking of the Belt and Road Initiative with the development of SCO countries, the Belt and Road environmental protection cooperation in Central Asia, the development of Belt and Road together with the Sino-European relations, the Belt and Road expansion in the Middle East and Africa, and the five aspects of Belt and Road interconnection. At the same time, in order to coordinate the publicity work of the Belt and Road Initiative, Taihe has launched a series of international exchange activities and has established extensive contacts with relevant countries and international organizations.
