On the Debut of First Piece of “Taihe Institute Book Series”, General Xue Lectures on Sun Tzu's Art of War

On March 19th, Taihe Institute and CITIC Publishing Group held a new book release ceremony, jointly launching the first piece of “Taihe Institute Book Series” ----General Xue's Elaboration on Sun Tzu's Art of War. Xue Guoan, the author of this book, who once served as the deputy director of the Strategic Teaching and Research Department of National Defense University, is currently the Senior Researcher of Taihe Institute and the executive director of China Research Society of Sun Tzu's Art of War. At the spot, General Xue shared his sharp insights on the theme of "Learning Sun Tzu's Art of War, Activating Innovative Wisdom", and autographed for the guests and enthusiastic readers who presented. Mr. Gu Boping, Chief Cultural Scholar of Taihe Institute, and Mr. Jiang Yongjun, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of CITIC Publishing Group attended the launching ceremony, together with a number of well-known media.

Sun Tzu's Art of War is the earliest extant military work in the world, which contains profound Chinese traditional culture and philosophical wisdom. Based on more than 30 years of academic research, General Xue transformed the abstract classical strategy and the ideological essence of Sun Tzu's art of war into a more vivid interpretation in simple and understandable language. Combining the typical cases of battlefields, business circles and workplaces at home and abroad from time to time, Xue further explained the practical value of each strategy, and summarized how to flexibly learn and use the methods and art of Sun Tzu's wisdom. Meanwhile, through the elaboration of his personal experience of participating in the Counterattack Against Vietnam In Self-Defense, Xue stressed the necessity of learning Sun Tzu's Art of War, which gave us profound enlightenment.
